Home Remedies for Joint Pain

There is a natural period in a women’s life normally between the ages of 45 and 55 when her fertility draws to an end, this period is called the menopause. Technically, the menopause for women is the date of their last period, but the process typically starts five to ten years as their ovaries begin to slowly run out of egg follicles. When this happens, the oestrogen levels begin to fall until too little is produced to keep a menstrual cycle.

As a woman progresses through her life, different issues can arise. Many women suffer extensively from premenstrual syndrome and menstrual cramps. Menopause incorporates substantial hormonal changes, and can often lead to increased levels of stress for women. Pregnancy is another major change in a woman's life, bringing with it change and stress to the body. During pregnancy it's also possible that health problems of the mother can be reflected in the health of the baby, so naturally the mother wants to be as healthy as possible for the whole pregnancy. Yoga is a great solution to these varied issues, making it easier for women to deal with these health obstacles through their lives.

If you haven't done any yoga before, it would be best to go to a class to learn. No DVD or book can quite replace watching a teacher demonstrate a posture, taking you through the different breathing practices, and offering insight into how your body is coping with the poses. It also helps to have a practical grounding like this if you're reading yoga books, where they will present a number of different poses and variations. Learning yoga first by practicing it in class, gives you the experience to adapt what you read in books to your own needs.

Increase in bone mass - When our bodies remain inactive, we lose bone mass, increasing the risk of osteoporosis; a condition that is already a high risk factor for menopausal women due to the fact that their body not longer produces estrogen. However, just because an inactive woman may be suffering from loss of bone mass doesn’t mean she can’t do something about it.

Many women agree to overdoing things and tiring themselves out. This exhausts the body and make all symptoms worse -- including those of the menopause. The great thing with exercise and relaxation is that are very well-priced natural remedies for menopause -- in fact, they can be completely free!

Imagine a room where you are alone, no children to disrupt your peace, and you can let your mind go anywhere you want it to go while listening to soothing music and a soothing voice help you breathe and stretch. This is yoga and benefits of menopause. Your children are usually grown up and leaving the house, you have more time to get back in to your hobbies, and you can spend more time with yourself again.

Your diet during your 30's is vital to handling the signs of menopause. Foods rich in calcium should form a staple part of your diet and as a means to strengthening bones. After the age of 30, a woman experiences regular bone loss and while it's only minute each year, it can add up to significant levels by the time she reaches 50.

Home Remedies for Insomnia

Sleep is a periodic resting condition of the body, especially the nervous system and there is a natural rotation of sleeping and waking every twenty-four hours. But medical science has not been able to explain-must less to understand –the mechanics of this phenomenon. But it is a natural thing for a person to sleep and nobody can do without if for long.

The first thing you should do is try to get enough sleep in order to make it through the day without getting tired. The best way to this is try to set yourself a schedule that you follow every night. Regularity is very important. Regularity will help you set your body's circadian rhythm (your body's clock that helps regulate internal functions). This is one of the most important home remedies for insomnia.

Its really depressing to say that most of the Americans are suffering through insomnia due to one or the other reason. And you know how it is usually tackled with? Over-the-counter medications are the easiest way-out for many, and its so unfortunate to say that these ignorant people in order to get rid of insomnia are taking the shelter of many other dangerous side-effects of sleeping pills like.

One of the problems with insomnia is all of the thoughts that race around in your mind keeping you awake. To avoid this, set up about 10-15 minutes of time before going to bed to review the day and put things in perspective. Think about events and unresolved issues and work out solutions so your mind doesn't keep working on them when you want to sleep. Also, set up a plan for the next day so you aren't awake worried about the things you need to do in the morning. A very effective way to clear your mind is to write all of these things down.

When you find that you cannot sleep, the first step should be to try and relax. You will never be able to do this on the bed, because your inability to fall asleep will irritate you further and aggravate your condition. Hence, if you stayed more than 30 minutes in bed and you find that sleep evades you, get up from the bed and do something that relaxes you. Have a hot cup of chamomile tea, read a favorite bestseller, have a hot mug of milk and generally try to relax. You will find that in no time, you will feel sleepy.

Obsessive thoughts are not uncommon among people who are having trouble sleeping. One helpful tip to getting rid of obsessive thoughts is to write your thoughts down. This could help you process and release these thoughts. After writing you may feel relieved and be able to get to sleep. Writing can be very therapeutic to most people because you can visually think about the thought leaving your body and see it go on to the paper. You can actually tear up the paper when you are done writing to signify letting the obsessive thoughts go.
